Animals were intratracheally challenged with LPS (0.5 mg/kg) or 100 μl of PBS. Twenty four hours after, fMLP (0.25 mg/kg) or 100 μl of vehicle (Veh, 1%DMSO in PBS) was applied intratracheally. Animals were sacrificed two hours after the second challenge and bronchoalveolar lavage performed. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM from 2 different experiments each included 5–10 animals per group.
