Relative mRNA concentrations of pro- and anti-apoptotic genes (bax, bcl-XL, p53, TNFα) and proto-oncogenes (c-myc, c-jun, c-fos) in livers of pigs fed a control diet or a diet supplemented with 5 g clofibrate per kg for 28 days. All mRNA concentrations were determined by real-time quantitative PCR and normalized to GAPDH. Data are reported as means ± SD with nine animals per group. Data are expressed relative to mRNA concentrations of control pigs (control = 1). * Significantly different to control group (P < 0.05).
