  1. An area of 1 represents a perfect discrimination of tumor from normal tissue; an area of 0.5 represents no discrimination between normal and abnormal. The P value indicates whether the area under the ROC is significantly different from 0.5. *If the P value is < 0.05, the area under the ROC curve is significantly different (see description of statistical analysis). For tumors, each point represents a mean of 5 eggs whereas for normal, each point represents a mean of 10 eggs.
