Inhibitory effects of DNLD and DEVD on caspase-3 activity. Caspase-3 was preincubated with various concentrations of Ac-DNLD-CHO (●) or Ac-DEVD-CHO (○), and then the activity of caspase-3 was measured with Ac-DEVD-pNA substrate as described (see "Materials and Methods"). The kinetic data presented are the means of three independent experiments.
