Temporal commitment point of H 2 O 2 and tBH. Cells plated in 96-well plates for 2 days were treated with 2 mM H2O2 (solid circles) or 600 μM tBH (open circles) for various duration as indicated, then with fresh medium (without the testing agent) until 24 hours after initial treatment. Cell viability was determined by the MTT assay. Note: 2 mM H2O2 and 600 μM tBH were used to produce effective cell death after a 24-hour treatment. (See Fig. 1, 100 μl/well and Fig. 6A, solid circles)
