Effect of indomethacin and PACs on carrageenin-induced pleurisy. At 4 h after carrageenin injection, the volume of the exudate (A) was reduced by PACs (10, 30, 60 and 100 mg/kg) and indomethacin (10 mg/kg) administration. The accumulation of polymorphonuclear cells (PMNs, B) in the pleural cavity was inhibited by all tested drugs.
