From: Lipid phosphate phosphatase inhibitors locally amplify lysophosphatidic acid LPA1 receptor signalling in rat brain cryosections without affecting global LPA degradation

Treatment with AlF x -results in accumulation of several endogenous LPA species in rat brain sections. The slides with two horizontal brain sections were treated with AlFx- (NaF 10 mM + AlCl3 50 μM) for 40 min followed by extraction of LPA species, as described in Methods. The samples were analyzed with LC/MS/MS for four endogenous LPA species, 16:0 LPA, 18:0 LPA, 18:1 LPA and 20:4 LPA. The amounts of three of these LPA species are increased in a statistically significant manner in AlFx- treated sections as compared to control sections. The results are expressed as nmol/g of tissue protein (mean + SEM) and are derived from three individual experiments performed in triplicate (n = 3). Significance level: ***p < 0.001 and **p < 0.01 compared to control.
