Statistical significance (P < 0.05) of the differences between groups (2-way ANOVAs). For male rats the gavage type resulted in differences for hydrophilic and lipophilic fractions; in females only for the lipophilic. In Oleoyl-DHEA-treated rats, there were no sex-related differences; in DHEA-treated animals sex affected significantly all three fractions.
